Nebraska Plumbers

Nebraska does not have any specific requirements for you that you must meet in order to work as a plumber.

You must, however, register as a contractor with the State of Nebraska. This is a $40 fee that occurs annually. If you live in a county that contains more than 100,000 residents, then you will also need to file for a business license. You must also post a bond for any job that has a value more than $2,500 for you. This bond is $1,000 for any job under $10,000, 10% of the amount for any contract up to $100,000, and then an additional 5% for all amounts above $100,000.

As with any business, you will want to carry some sort of liability insurance as a business. And that's really all it takes to be a plumber in Nebraska.
