Ohio Plumbers

The State of Ohio is one of the most beautiful states in the nation, and becoming a plumber in the state is relatively easy. Unlike other states, Ohio does not break down their plumbing licenses into separate categories. You simply qualify to become a contractor that completes plumbing tasks.

In order to become a contractor, you must successfully pass an exam regarding business and law within the state. Once you have done that, you should have, but are not required to have, at least five years of experience working in the field of your choice. You must also carry minimum of $500,000 in liability insurance to conduct work as a contractor within the state.

The licensure fee is $25 and once approved, you can work on sewage systems, storm draining, natural gas piping, residential and commercial plumbing projects, and other water supply issues. Applications can be denied if appropriate work experience is not shown.
